A major player in higher education, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, an establishment of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Nantes St-Nazaire, was founded in 1988. It trains professionals in creation and innovation in initial training and continuing education.
A pioneer in taking into account the evolution of technological, societal and environmental contexts, it claims a unique positioning considering design as a strategic discipline at the service of a responsible and sustainable world.
L’École de design Nantes Atlantique is a private non-profit associative school (association law 1901). Recognized by the State, it is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and associated with Nantes University. Its mission is recognized as being of general interest by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. As such, it is one of the few design schools to hold the EESPIG label (Private Higher Education Institution of General Interest).
