Chaoyang University of Technology, the first private technological university in Taiwan, was established in 1994. It locates at Wufeng, Taichung, a place with poetic scenery, aggregating talented people and culture. The school name Chaoyang implies the unyielding perseverance and hard work of a man of integrity in times of adversity, like the universe, always high-spirited and strives for progress to become excellent and extraordinary. The school has six colleges and 24 departments, offering 5 Ph.D. programs, 22 Master’s Classes, and undergraduate programs, with around 14,500 students and 600 faculty members. Chaoyang has achieved excellence and entered various renowned international rankings: the World University Rankings of Times Higher Education (THE) for five straight years, Impact Rankings, Young University Rankings, Emerging Economies Rankings, Asia University Rankings, Computer Science Rankings, and Engineering Rankings. Not only entering the 2022 QS Asia University Rankings, but it has become the Top 100 in the GreenMetric World University Rankings for five consecutive years.
