The winners of the China Mainland Student Design Competition have been named at a glamourous awards ceremony in Shanghai.
The Overall Winner was Zhu Xinxin from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, with the entry “CONJECTURE ABOUT SHADOWS.”
The category winners were:
- Apparel: Li Yuanyuan from Donghua University, with the entry “AWAKENING IN THE WILDNESS.”
Footwear: Zhu Xinxin from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, with the entry “CONJECTURE ABOUT SHADOWS.”
Accessory & People’s Choice award Winner: Wang Qiuhan from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, with the entry “MADE BY GRANDMA.”
The 2024 Real Leather Stay Different Student Design Competition in the Chinese Mainland region is hosted by the Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA), with full support from China Leather Industry Association (CLIA). There were 180 entries from 22 design schools across China. Since the competition began in 2019, it has attracted more than 2,500 student designers from nearly 30 design colleges across China.
Zhu Xinxin’s winning work was recently displayed at the 2024 International Design Competition Award Ceremony at the US Embassy, London, as part of the 2024 Regional and International winners collection.
