My name is Wanjira Gitau, I am a graduate from Zetech University with a degree in Media and communication studies.
I am passionate about fashion and sustainability in the fashion industry and its with this passion that i opened my business Shera's garments where we focus on sustainable fashion. With over three years experience including a mentorship programme at Jipe Apparel, I have learnt and seen first hand the importance of ethical sourcing, proper compensation and sustainability especially with a focus on waste management in the fashion industry.
A toggle coat is a coat that connects and disconnects.
It can be detached forming two parts. And still be attached to form a complete coat together.
This is a full coat, similar to a trench coat. It is connected with a leather strap at the middle point/waist area forming a physical vertical seperation.
To offer the user more flexibility and versatility, the coat is double-sided, with no defined inside or outside. Furthermore, once the coat is separated, the bottom has an inbuilt bag, to which the user could easily fold the coat into, carrying with ease and convenience.
