Hello everyone. My name is Lam Thi Thuy Duong, and I am from Vietnam. I am currently a second-year student at Ho Chi Minh City Industry and Trade College, majoring in Footwear Technology. My academic journey has given me a solid foundation in materials, construction techniques, and the manufacturing process of footwear. Through my studies, I have developed a strong interest in how design and functionality come together to create high-quality products. My biggest passion is shoe design. I enjoy exploring new ideas, especially those that combine aesthetics with practicality. I am particularly interested in designing shoes that are not only visually appealing but also comfortable and suitable for real-life use. I often spend time sketching concepts and learning about trends, materials, and innovations in the footwear industry. I am eager to continue developing my skills, gaining more hands-on experience, and contributing creatively in this field. Thank you. Xin chào, tôi tên là Lâm Thị Thùy Dương, đến từ Việt Nam. Hiện tại tôi là sinh viên năm hai tại Trường Cao đẳng Công Thương TP. Hồ Chí Minh, chuyên ngành Công nghệ Da giày. Quá trình học tập đã giúp tôi có nền tảng vững về vật liệu, kỹ thuật cấu trúc và quy trình sản xuất giày dép. Thông qua việc học, tôi dần phát triển sự quan tâm mạnh mẽ đến cách thiết kế và chức năng kết hợp với nhau để tạo ra những sản phẩm chất lượng cao. Đam mê lớn nhất của tôi là thiết kế giày. Tôi thích khám phá những ý tưởng mới, đặc biệt là kết hợp giữa tính thẩm mỹ và tính ứng dụng. Tôi quan tâm đến việc tạo ra những đôi giày không chỉ đẹp mà còn thoải mái và phù hợp với thực tế sử dụng. Tôi thường dành thời gian để phác thảo ý tưởng và tìm hiểu thêm về xu hướng, vật liệu cũng như những đổi mới trong ngành giày. Tôi mong muốn tiếp tục phát triển kỹ năng, tích lũy thêm kinh nghiệm thực tế và đóng góp sự sáng tạo của mình trong lĩnh vực này. Xin cảm ơn.

My project focuses on mountain footwear design, inspired by the indigenous brocade textiles of Northwest Vietnam. These traditional patterns represent cultural identity, craftsmanship, and history. I reinterpret brocade elements into modern hiking shoes through subtle details, materials, and color applications, creating a balance between heritage and contemporary design. At its core, the project is built around the experience of trekking and mountain exploration. The footwear is designed to withstand rough terrains, with a strong focus on durability, grip, and comfort. Technical aspects such as outsole traction, material resistance, and structural support are carefully considered to ensure performance in real outdoor conditions. By integrating cultural storytelling into functional design, the project delivers mountain shoes that are not only reliable in use but also carry a unique visual identity. Thank you. Dự án của tôi tập trung vào thiết kế giày leo núi, lấy cảm hứng từ thổ cẩm dân tộc vùng Tây Bắc Việt Nam. Những hoạ tiết này thể hiện bản sắc văn hoá, giá trị thủ công và lịch sử. Tôi ứng dụng các yếu tố thổ cẩm vào giày trekking hiện đại thông qua chi tiết, vật liệu và màu sắc, tạo nên sự cân bằng giữa truyền thống và hiện đại. Dự án hướng đến trải nghiệm khám phá núi, với thiết kế phù hợp địa hình khắc nghiệt, chú trọng độ bền, độ bám và sự thoải mái. Các yếu tố kỹ thuật như đế ngoài, vật liệu và kết cấu được nghiên cứu để đảm bảo hiệu năng thực tế. Xin cảm ơn.
