SCULPTEDCONTROL

In this series, the body is no longer a subject but a material shaped by power. Inspired by the origin of sculpture, where inert matter is given the form of an “ideal body,” the created form is actually determined by external forces. This idea is translated into the relationship between body and clothing. Garments act as external structures that compress, stretch, and redefine the body, turning it into a controlled and displayable form. Leather becomes the key medium, embodying both material and power through its rigidity and malleability. Through cutting, binding, and shaping, it confines the body into a “living sculpture.” However, through asymmetry and structural disruption, the body begins to resist, with cracks and distortions symbolizing a break from imposed form.
