Jasmin Sallway

Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem

Hello my name Jasmin sallway a third-year Fashion Design student at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem I have never been someone who reveals herself at first glance. Like my work, I am contradictory, layered, and open to interpretation. I am curious by nature, driven by intuition, and constantly questioning what I see and what I think I know. I believe the most meaningful encounters happen when something cannot be understood immediately That way of seeing the world naturally led me to fashion. Since I was young, I have been fascinated by the human body—not only by its form, but by its ability to carry identity, memory, vulnerability, and desire. I explore how garments can transform our perception of the body through silhouette, texture, movement, and material My practice combines conceptual research with hands-on experimentation. I am drawn to the dialogue between precise construction and organic forms, developing a design language that is tactile, sculptural, and emotionally charged Discovering plant-based leather felt like finding a material that had been waiting for me. I fell in love with it instantly. Beyond its sustainable value, I was captivated by its warmth, flexibility, and expressive possibilities. It has become an essential part of my creative practice and one I know will accompany me far beyond this project Boldness, audacity, and the courage to provoke define both my personality and my work. I do not create garments to provide answers. I create them to awaken curiosity, invite conversation, and leave an impression that lingers long after the first encounter
