Good morning everyone. Today I’m excited to present my bag design project and share the inspiration, concept, materials, and overall identity behind this design. This bag was created from the idea of combining fashion, functionality, and street culture into one product. I wanted to design a bag that is not only useful for everyday life, but also represents personality, confidence, and creativity. Nowadays, bags are more than just accessories. They become part of someone’s identity and style. Because of that, I focused on making a design that feels modern, unique, and expressive. The main inspiration for this project came from urban street fashion, skate culture, and contemporary youth lifestyles. I noticed that many young people today prefer products that are practical but still fashionable. They want something simple enough for daily use, but also eye-catching enough to stand out. So, I combined minimal structure with bold visual elements to create a balance between simplicity and individuality. For the shape of the bag, I designed it with smooth curves and a strong silhouette to create a modern and stylish appearance. The overall form was inspired by movement and flexibility, giving the bag a dynamic feeling instead of looking too stiff or traditional. I also wanted the bag to feel comfortable when carried, so ergonomics became an important part of the design process. In terms of color, I selected tones that reflect confidence and versatility. Neutral colors such as black, grey, or brown make the bag easy to match with different outfits, while accent details help add character and energy to the design. The color palette was chosen carefully to create a balance between luxury, streetwear, and everyday fashion. For the materials, I focused on durability, texture, and quality. The outer material uses synthetic leather and polyester fabric because these materials are lightweight, strong, and suitable for long-term use. They also provide a modern texture that matches the overall concept of the bag. Inside the bag, soft lining material was added to protect personal belongings and improve the user experience. Another important aspect of this project is functionality. I designed multiple compartments and storage sections to make the bag practical for everyday use. Users can organize their belongings more easily, whether it’s a phone, wallet, laptop, charger, or small accessories. The straps were also designed to be adjustable for comfort and flexibility. One of the key design goals was sustainability and long-lasting value. Instead of creating a fast-fashion product, I wanted this bag to feel timeless and durable. A good bag should not only look attractive for a short period of time, but should continue to be useful and stylish for years. This idea influenced both the material choices and the overall structure of the design. During the design process, I faced several challenges. One challenge was balancing aesthetics and functionality. Sometimes a design may look visually appealing but not practical for real-life use. So I had to continuously adjust the proportions, pocket placement, and strap structure to achieve the right balance. Another challenge was selecting materials that were both durable and visually attractive while staying within a realistic production concept. Through this project, I learned that bag design is not only about appearance, but also about understanding users’ lifestyles and emotions. Every detail — from shape, material, stitching, color, and function — contributes to the identity of the product. Good design should communicate a story and create a connection between the product and the user. In conclusion, this bag represents a combination of modern fashion, street culture, practicality, and personal expression. My goal was to create something that people can use confidently in everyday life while still feeling stylish and unique. I believe this design reflects both creativity and functionality, which are essential elements in contemporary fashion design. Thank you for listening to my presentation. I hope you enjoyed learning about the concept and process behind this bag design project.

"standard" id="41852"} The concept of this bag design project is inspired by “Skate Culture,” which represents freedom, creativity, individuality, and urban street lifestyle. The main idea behind this project is to combine the energy of skateboarding culture with contemporary street fashion and luxury materials to create a bag that is both functional and fashionable. Skateboarding is more than just a sport; it is a culture and a form of self-expression. People in skate culture often express their identity through music, fashion, graffiti art, and lifestyle. This inspired the overall direction of the design. I wanted to create a bag that reflects the bold personality, independence, and rebellious spirit of street culture while still maintaining a modern and premium appearance. The bag design takes inspiration from the shape of a skateboard deck, creating a unique silhouette that immediately connects to skate culture. The elongated structure and curved form resemble the movement and flow of skateboarding, giving the product a dynamic and energetic feeling. This shape also creates a strong visual identity, helping the bag stand out from ordinary fashion accessories. The overall mood and tone of the project focus on coolness, confidence, and freedom. The style combines graffiti aesthetics, urban fashion, vintage luxury, and hip-hop influences. Graffiti art inspired the visual direction because graffiti is strongly connected to city streets and youth culture. It represents creativity without limitations and reflects the raw energy of urban environments. Hip-hop fashion also played an important role in shaping the styling and attitude of the product, adding oversized silhouettes, streetwear influence, and bold personality. The color palette was carefully selected to communicate the atmosphere of the city at night and underground street culture. Black, gray, silver, dark red, green, and purple tones were used to create contrast and visual impact. Black and gray provide a modern and timeless foundation, while silver metal details add luxury and industrial aesthetics. Dark red and purple tones introduce energy, mystery, and artistic emotion, helping the bag feel expressive and fashionable. Material selection is another important part of the concept. Different textures were combined to create both visual depth and functionality. Suede was chosen because of its soft texture and vintage luxury appearance. Genuine leather adds durability and premium value, while PVC synthetic leather provides flexibility, easy maintenance, and modern texture. Polyester fabric was included because it is durable, lightweight, and practical for everyday use. Glossy metal details were also added to enhance the luxurious appearance and strengthen the structure of the bag. The combination of these materials creates a balance between luxury fashion and streetwear culture. The target audience for this project is people aged around 18–25 who are interested in skateboarding, street fashion, graffiti art, and hip-hop culture. These consumers usually value individuality, creativity, and freedom of expression. They prefer products that are unique and stylish but still practical for daily life. The bag was designed to fit their lifestyle, whether they are skating, attending street events, traveling around the city, or styling fashion outfits. Functionality was also considered carefully during the design process. The bag can be used as both a shoulder bag and a crossbody bag, making it versatile and comfortable for everyday use. Multiple storage compartments were included to improve organization and usability. The design focuses on balancing aesthetics with practical functions, ensuring that the product is not only visually attractive but also convenient for real-life use. Another important aspect of this concept is the connection between fashion and identity. In modern street culture, accessories are not only tools for carrying belongings but also symbols of personality and lifestyle. This bag represents confidence, independence, and creativity. It allows users to express themselves through fashion while feeling connected to skate culture and urban art. The branding and marketing direction also support the overall concept. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, and street market pop-up events were selected because they directly connect with younger audiences and fashion communities. These channels reflect modern youth behavior and digital culture, helping the brand feel contemporary and accessible. In conclusion, this project is more than just a bag design. It is a representation of skate culture, street fashion, urban creativity, and self-expression. The design combines functionality, luxury materials, and artistic street influences into one product. The goal was to create a bag that not only serves everyday needs but also communicates identity, attitude, and lifestyle. This project reflects the spirit of freedom, individuality, and modern street culture through bo
