Good morning everyone. Today I’m excited to present my bag design project and share the inspiration, concept, materials, and overall identity behind this design. This bag was created from the idea of combining fashion, functionality, and street culture into one product. I wanted to design a bag that is not only useful for everyday life, but also represents personality, confidence, and creativity. Nowadays, bags are more than just accessories. They become part of someone’s identity and style. Because of that, I focused on making a design that feels modern, unique, and expressive. The main inspiration for this project came from urban street fashion, skate culture, and contemporary youth lifestyles. I noticed that many young people today prefer products that are practical but still fashionable. They want something simple enough for daily use, but also eye-catching enough to stand out. So, I combined minimal structure with bold visual elements to create a balance between simplicity and individuality. For the shape of the bag, I designed it with smooth curves and a strong silhouette to create a modern and stylish appearance. The overall form was inspired by movement and flexibility, giving the bag a dynamic feeling instead of looking too stiff or traditional. I also wanted the bag to feel comfortable when carried, so ergonomics became an important part of the design process. In terms of color, I selected tones that reflect confidence and versatility. Neutral colors such as black, grey, or brown make the bag easy to match with different outfits, while accent details help add character and energy to the design. The color palette was chosen carefully to create a balance between luxury, streetwear, and everyday fashion. For the materials, I focused on durability, texture, and quality. The outer material uses synthetic leather and polyester fabric because these materials are lightweight, strong, and suitable for long-term use. They also provide a modern texture that matches the overall concept of the bag. Inside the bag, soft lining material was added to protect personal belongings and improve the user experience. Another important aspect of this project is functionality. I designed multiple compartments and storage sections to make the bag practical for everyday use. Users can organize their belongings more easily, whether it’s a phone, wallet, laptop, charger, or small accessories. The straps were also designed to be adjustable for comfort and flexibility. One of the key design goals was sustainability and long-lasting value. Instead of creating a fast-fashion product, I wanted this bag to feel timeless and durable. A good bag should not only look attractive for a short period of time, but should continue to be useful and stylish for years. This idea influenced both the material choices and the overall structure of the design. During the design process, I faced several challenges. One challenge was balancing aesthetics and functionality. Sometimes a design may look visually appealing but not practical for real-life use. So I had to continuously adjust the proportions, pocket placement, and strap structure to achieve the right balance. Another challenge was selecting materials that were both durable and visually attractive while staying within a realistic production concept. Through this project, I learned that bag design is not only about appearance, but also about understanding users’ lifestyles and emotions. Every detail — from shape, material, stitching, color, and function — contributes to the identity of the product. Good design should communicate a story and create a connection between the product and the user. In conclusion, this bag represents a combination of modern fashion, street culture, practicality, and personal expression. My goal was to create something that people can use confidently in everyday life while still feeling stylish and unique. I believe this design reflects both creativity and functionality, which are essential elements in contemporary fashion design. Thank you for listening to my presentation. I hope you enjoyed learning about the concept and process behind this bag design project.
