Fine Arts

Natapat Saikaew (Kam) is a jewelry design student from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand. She is passionate about using design as a medium to communicate and raise awareness of social and environmental issues. Her recent work was exhibited at a university student showcase, where she presented a body jewelry piece inspired by the hidden impacts of electronic waste on the human body. The design highlights how e-waste exposure can damage vital internal systems such as the kidneys, circulatory system, and nervous system—transforming invisible harm into visible form through wearable art.

Beauty Marks

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Thailand

“Beauty Marks” is a body accessory that communicates the beauty of stretch marks. It is inspired by the value of scarred cowhide, where natural marks make the leather more precious. This piece compares human stretch marks to those on leather to show that they deserve to be seen and appreciated too, since they are natural marks just like the ones found on leather. I chose to create a leather belt because stretch marks often appear around the stomach and thighs, making it the most effective way to communicate the beauty of marks in these areas.
