I have been in the leather business for over ten years. Starting out as an employee in various reputable companies before branching out to start my own venture. I saw the need to provide custom leather bags to the market because there was no supply for this at the time. I have been creating and designing at my company, Gonzala Leathers, for ten years now.
The ultimate travel bag is inspired by the African cultural colors and hide leather and African heritage. The colors reflect the most abundant colors in the African continent(red, black and green). The hair-on hide touch expresses the rawness that is Africa. The choice of bag (suitcase) was informed by a rareness of this bag design to be done in genuine leather and in Africa more so. The map of Africa at the top of the bag to symbolise Africa rising.
