My collection was inspired by Sports, specifically by the relationships between the human body and sports gear. Sports were originally recognized as survival activities and with time transformed into wellness activities for reducing physical and mental stress associated with modern routines. With the shift of the purpose, the tools adapted too. My visual and conceptual research included the history of fitness machines, defensive gear in martial arts, tennis gear, and muscle anatomy study. I designed a women’s wear collection based on wool and leather in brown and beige which correspond with the luxury atmosphere in private fitness spaces. The five looks combine the language of fitness equipment that merges with the body's anatomy, with an emphasis on volume games, each clothing system based on a different sport.
