Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology

I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Innovative Product Design at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Tainan, Taiwan, with a focus on product design. While I specialize in the theory and application of product design, I am also passionate about hands-on making. I have a strong interest in the characteristics of materials and enjoy exploring a wide variety of substances, including natural materials and advanced composites, and experimenting with their application in innovative design.

Signal Hunter 信號獵人

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Taiwan Region

This work is inspired by the traditional hunting headdresses of Taiwan’s Indigenous peoples. It blends cultural symbolism with modern 3C (computer, communication, consumer electronics) elements to explore a dialogue between tradition and technology. Feathers and shells symbolize nature, honor, and identity in Indigenous culture. In contrast, USB cables, braided cords, play icons, and LED rings reflect digital-era functions—connection, memory, and communication. The design’s dynamic shape conveys speed and tension, portraying a modern “Signal Hunter” navigating between past and present. This piece reimagines the hunting spirit through a fusion of materials and eras, offering a visual expression of cultural continuity in the digital age.
