THE LOST KNOT

Category: Apparel

Competitions: China Mainland

The name of this set of design works is "The Lost Knot", inspired by China's unique traditional folk craft: Chinese knot.By combining the Chinese knot with leather craftsmanship.I broke the original concept of knot weaving and leather garments. I was inspired by the curvature of the Chinese knot and the unique beauty of the interweaving between the threads, so l took the elements and symbolism of the Chinese knot as my inspiration and innovatively integrated them into the garment. It is mainly made of leather padding, partially aged and braided. and the colour scheme is green, and the silhouette takes the shape of a Chinese knot, which is the opposite of the red Chinese knots in our impression. to express that Chinese knots are not only "outdated" decorations, but also can be integrated into many works through different media materials and innovative designs. The Chinese knot is a symbol of good luck that has been passed down for thousands of years in China, and it has not yet been included in the list of non-heritage protection.
