Balbina Brunell

My name is Balbina Brunell and I'm 22 years old. I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. From an early age, I developed a profound passion for various artistic forms, which eventually led me to the opportunity of moving to New York to pursue my career in Fashion Design. Although this interest has been with me since my youth, it was during my studies at Parsons School of Design that I had the chance to fully engage and immerse myself in the fashion industry. It was there that I quickly developed a fascination for fashion products and began working extensively with leather as my primary material. Through exploring its durability and flexibility, I found myself delving into the experimental realms of sculptural and unconventional design which I now continue to use as an attempt to push the boundaries of craftsmanship and foster innovation in my creative practices.
