YOMBER Conservation Walk – Real Leather Stay Different Africa 2026 Project Name: YOMBER Conservation Walk- “Comfort with experiential knowledge.” Problem statement & Concept Overview: Tourists often leave conservation areas with memories but little lasting connection to the wildlife, communities and conservation efforts they encountered. Current tourism products rarely extend the experience beyond the point of purchase, creating a missed opportunity for long term engagement, education and impact. YOMBER is a premium leather sneaker sandals designed for tourists visiting Kenya’s wildlife landscapes. The sneaker merges physical comfort with experiential learning, allowing wearers to engage directly with conservation through embedded QR technology and circular sole innovation. Each step becomes a meaningful experience where tourists gain knowledge about wildlife, understand conservation impact, and connect with Kenya’s heritage while wearing a comfortable, stylish, sustainable sneaker sandal. Key Features: 1. Interactive QR Integration o Embedded in the leather upper. o When scanned, directs the wearer to:  Verified wildlife information  Conservation education content  Environmental impact metrics (waste reduction)  Optional donation link for the conservancy. 2. Circular Sole Innovation o Bottom sole made from upcycled rubber. o Reduces environmental footprint while providing durable comfort. o Adds tangible sustainability story to the sneaker. 3. Collectible Conservancy Editions o Limited editions representing specific wildlife conservancies: Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, Coastal Marine areas. o Each edition features unique storytelling via QR and design elements. o Hidden serial number for authentication and ownership, acts like a digital passport for exclusive owner content. o It encourages collection and awareness of Kenya’s diverse ecosystems. Target Audience:  Tourists seeking meaningful, educational souvenirs.  Value comfort, storytelling, and impact in their travel experience.  Willing to pay premium for ethical, sustainable, and collectible footwear. Impact & Vision:  Transform YOMBER sneaker sandals into a wearable conservation experience.  Educate tourists about Kenya’s wildlife and ecosystems.  Measure and communicate waste reduction via upcycled soles.  Expand across conservancies in Kenya initially, scaling to other African countries over time.  Position YOMBER as a continent leading ethical performance footwear brand that blends travel, conservation, and sustainability. This project Stands Out because:  It’s a combination of premium leather craftsmanship, sustainability, and interactive learning. Turning a one-time safari visitor into a long term conservation supporter through a product they continue to wear.  It provides tangible conservation impact through every pair sold.  Leverages Kenya’s wildlife tourism to position the brand nationally and continentally.  The QR code serves as a gateway into the YOMBER conservation network, connecting travelers to conservation partners, local communities and wildlife experiences through a single digital platform embedded in every pair. Explore knowledge at your comfort with every pair of YOMBER. Connecting tourists with Kenya’s wildlife, turning each step into a conservation journey.
