Shih Chien University

Fashion Design BFA

Apparel, Womenswear, Haute Couture

"I'm currently studying in the Fashion Design department at Shih Chien University, where I boast an impressive repertoire of skills and knowledge in the realm of fashion. I see fashion design not just as a profession, but as my personal canvas for self-expression, where each piece I create is infused with a touch of flamboyance and boundless energy, much like a hyperactive puppy at a fashion show. During my sophomore year, I threw myself into the vibrant world of indigenous fashion design competitions and even managed to strut my stuff on the runway during Fashion Week. This experience not only enriched my design concepts but also plunged me deeper into the sartorial rabbit hole, igniting a fiery passion for exploration and anticipation for what lies ahead. Apart from fashion design, I have a keen interest in illustration. In my spare time, you'll often find me doodling away, bringing my design ideas to life in the form of whimsical characters and fantastical worlds. Currently, I'm in the midst of a top-secret project revolving around one of these characters, hoping to unleash a tidal wave of creativity and whimsy upon the world. I view my design skills as a never-ending adventure, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the ride. Whether I'm pushing the boundaries of fashion on the runway or conjuring up fantastical realms through illustration, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be giving it my all, bringing forth oodles of surprises and inspiration for all to enjoy."

Wild Gallery

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Taiwan Region

"Wild Gallery": I conducted extensive research, seeking a plethora of authentic and fantastical sensations of wildness, mostly focused on natural variations and unique materials. This theme stemmed from my contemplation of human nature and its untamable aspects, which I redirected towards myself, discovering that I am an exceedingly emotional individual, prone to losing control easily. My wild nature influenced my design philosophy, prompting me to realize the necessity of bravely confronting these emotions. As a result, within this theme, I emphasize the rich emotions of humanity, planning to primarily utilize three colors to represent the raw emotions emanating from primal, wild skin, while still retaining a hint of security. These three colors emerged as the top three amidst my myriad of emotions, presenting themselves in a fluid manner, akin to pigments. It's as if I'm using these pigments to add color to the artworks in the gallery, showcasing the most authentic version of myself, depicting the gradual swelling of emotions. In the concept of the "Wild Gallery", I strive to amalgamate human emotions with the essence of wildness, showcasing the fluidity and variability of emotions through the choice of colors and materials. The entire artwork aims to bravely confront the inner wildness and transform it into a source of creativity. Through meticulous presentation of color and emotion, I hope the audience can sense the profound emotions and unique charm contained within the artwork, inspiring them to bravely pursue the journey of self-expression and emotional exploration.
