Bags

Currently, I am studying accounting at Strathmore University, but my artistic background has deep roots in my family's craft. My father, a talented carpenter, works with leather, and I grew up surrounded by the tools and materials of his trade. Inspired by his craftsmanship, I decided to give new life to the waste leather from his workshop by turning it into beautiful, functional bags. This initiative not only aligns with sustainable practices but also allowed me to discover and nurture my own passion for design. What started as a creative experiment has now blossomed into a thriving business, where I combine my academic knowledge with my inherited artistry to create unique leather bags. As my business and skills grow, my goal is to empower more women by creating opportunities for them to learn, work, and thrive.

The African Basket

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Africa

I have designed my bag after being inspired by the African Women and the clay pots they carry. My bag is made in full premium Pull-Up black leather with some beadwork stitched onto the bag. The lining of the bag is in a cream/ white fabric.
