Damiano Di Pede

My name is Damiano Di Pede, I was born in Matera but I have been living in Rome for 4 years where, after attending art school and graduating in scenography, this year I graduated in fashion design at Accademia Costume e Moda. Fashion has always been one of my greatest passions, and that is why I decided to dedicate all my time and study to it. I think fashion is a very powerful way of communication, very personal but able to unite many different people through stories, concepts and feelings that are expressed through the creation of clothes. In my work, the dress does not simply cover the body that wears it, but tells its story, its condition through the signs and symbols of the history of fashion. The stories I create through the design of my clothes have as their protagonist the individual and the body that wears them, everything is built around it and represents the outer shell that tells a feeling or an emotion.
