Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)

My name is Jenny Phung. I'm a young designer from Vietnam, currently pursuing my vision at SCAD - the Savannah College of Art and Design. Technology and human dynamics have always been my primary inspirations. My journey to SCAD marks the beginning of transforming innovative concepts into reality. With a major in Accessory Design, I focus on merging advanced digital engineering with organic human movement. I aim to shape the future of footwear through innovation and meaningful design solutions.

Design For Change

Category: Accessories

Competitions: International

Inspired by a worn pair of childhood sneakers that struggled to adapt across varied terrains, I questioned why footwear couldn't transform to meet any challenge. Taking cues from nature's masterpiece - the human foot, with its perfectly integrated system of bones, muscles, and tendons - I developed a revolutionary modular footwear concept where interchangeable components work in harmony with a base shoe. This system allows users to adapt their footwear for any environment, from urban commuting to mountain hiking, through thoughtfully designed parts that can be added, removed, or switched based on needs. Build for many. Made as one.
