Faculdade Belas Artes

I am a Fashion Design student. In August 2022, I began my Fashion Design degree at Belas Artes. During this period, I developed various areas of artistic and professional knowledge. However, I continue to seek new experiences to expand my skills. I believe design is a plural language that connects different creative fields and adapts to diverse contexts.

Flamboyant

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Brazil

The project Flamboyant proposes a mini performance-wear fashion collection inspired by the song “Flor de Flamboyant” from the Dominguinho album. It connects fashion, music, and Brazilian cultural identity, especially the traditions of the northeastern sertão. The main visual and conceptual reference is the flamboyant flower (Delonix regia), symbolizing intensity, beauty, and emotion elements also present in the song’s narrative. These ideas are translated into expressive and visually striking garments. The core material is bovine leather, chosen for its strong cultural connection to the Northeast of Brazil, particularly in traditional vaqueiro clothing. The pieces feature scarlet red, white, and orange leather, incorporating techniques such as laser cutting and embroidery to represent elements of the song. The collection is designed for performers (such as João Gomes, Jota.Pê, and Mestrinho), focusing on stage presence and artistic expression. A key highlight is the use of leather scraps to create floral appliqués, introducing a sustainable approach by transforming production waste into design elements.
