The collection is inspired by Bodily Maps of Emotion, a study revealing how emotions manifest on the body. Feelings are imagined as marks engraved on the skin, transforming into visible, ornamental tattoos — traces of love, pain, and strength. From this idea emerges an ornamental tattoo language, where emotion becomes decoration and identity. This visual code then evolves into Venetian lace, reinterpreted as a contemporary form of bodily ornament. Its origins trace back to the Venetian courtesans, with Veronica Franco — poet and writer of love — as a central muse. This ornamental language finds its fullest expression in the 1980s, when tattoo culture becomes a powerful symbol of self-expression and rebellion. From here, the collection draws on 1980s silhouettes and biker spirit, where the delicacy of lace collides with raw energy, merging fragility and defiance in a poetic dialogue.
