Inspired by the concept of a "Rotating Kaleidoscope," this work aims to translate the dynamic essence of rotation into a physical garment structure. The core highlight of the piece lies in the deep integration of lambskin leather and traditional indigo dyeing. To achieve the three-dimensional, swirl-like structure of the bodice, the design leverages the resilient yet extensible fiber characteristics of lambskin, transforming the leather into a fluid, sculptural spiral through precision molding. In the dyeing process, we broke conventional leather-working norms by applying traditional indigo dyeing (Indigo Dyeing) directly to the hide. By meticulously controlling immersion times and oxidation cycles, the indigo dye permeates the leather pores, preserving the natural grain while revealing a hand-crafted, multi-layered gradient of deep cyan. The lower half features a self-developed rib-knit fabric, which retains a distinct tactile texture. This is naturally dyed using a combination of indigo and Gardenia yellow. This dyeing technique mirrors the indigo leather of the bodice, creating a horizontal gradient from deep indigo to golden yellow across the skirt, precisely capturing the psychedelic visual effect of shifting colors within a kaleidoscope.
