Bangkok University

"Greetings, esteemed committee members. My name is Pongwarin poolkwan, and my nickname is Indy. When asked why I decided to apply, I hardly had to think twice; the opportunity presented here is truly immense. I have always loved and grown up surrounded by leathercraft. My parents own a clothing store, and my father has been passionate about leather goods for as long as I can remember. He has been collecting western wear since he was a teenager. Ever since I was a little boy, he would buy me leather jackets and leather pants. I naturally absorbed this passion, which eventually led me to pursue my studies in fashion. Because I have a deep, personal love for leather products, I decided to design this classic leather briefcase. This is the very first creation of my life that I have ever submitted to a competition."

Western Cowboy Gambling captures the spirit of the old American frontier — a world filled with dust, whiskey, the sound of leather boots, and gambling tables inside wooden saloons in small desert towns. Cowboys were not only known for riding horses or gunfights, but also for a gambling culture that reflected courage, risk, and the pride of men living in the Wild West era. Under the dim glow of hanging lamps, people in wide-brim cowboy hats and worn leather jackets gathered around poker tables, betting money, reputation, and sometimes even their fate. A single card could change a man’s life within seconds. This atmosphere became the inspiration behind Western Gambling fashion — a style that blends the luxury of classic casinos with the raw ruggedness of cowboy culture. Dark leather, gold metal details, rough stitching, and playing-card symbols became iconic elements that perfectly express the mood of the Wild West. It is a style for those who live freely, embrace risks, and are never afraid to stand out.
