My name is Ton Thi Hoa. I am 21 years old and I come from Ha Tinh, a province in the central region of Vietnam. I am currently a third-year student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majoring in Fashion Design and Leather Footwear. I have developed a strong passion for design since a young age. I am particularly interested in exploring different materials and creating original design concepts, especially in the areas of fashion and footwear. Regarding my career goals, in the short term, I aim to successfully complete my academic program while continuously improving my design skills and proficiency in industry-related software. In addition, I am actively seeking internship opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. In the long term, my goal is to become a professional designer who can create distinctive products with a strong personal identity and contribute meaningfully to the fashion industry in Vietnam. In terms of my strengths, I consider myself a highly persistent and responsible individual. Once I begin a design project, I am committed to completing it to the best of my ability. However, one of my weaknesses is that I can sometimes be influenced by others’ opinions during the design process. I am currently working on this by learning how to evaluate feedback more critically and maintain my own design perspective. I am capable of working both independently and as part of a team. However, I particularly value teamwork, as it allows me to exchange ideas, learn from others, and collaboratively develop more effective design solutions. Although I do not yet have extensive professional experience, I have participated in several academic design projects during my studies. Through these experiences, I have developed skills in sketching, material selection, and concept development. I am also proactively seeking opportunities to further develop my practical experience. Finally, I am a motivated and dedicated individual with a strong passion for design. I am always eager to learn, improve myself, and contribute positively. This project explores the concept of mysticism and transformation, inspired by the symbolic moment of a serpent shedding its skin. The design conveys a sense of rebirth, sensuality, and hidden strength through a dramatic and dark visual language. The boots are constructed from leather combined with textured, embossed surfaces, evoking the evolving layers of snake skin. Delicate lace details create a contrast between fragility and inner power, while the structural zipper functions as a transitional boundary - a point between the old and the new. The elongated, pointed silhouette enhances elegance and authority, while the high heel intensifies a sense of tension and allure. The metallic finish contributes to a surreal, almost mystical effect, reinforcing the theme of metamorphosis. Set within a dark, gothic-inspired atmosphere, the design transcends footwear to become a storytelling object - expressing identity, transformation, and the beauty of shedding the past.
