After watching this movie, Babylon, i was moved by the fancy scenes and the magic of the movie itself. Even though the film shows the dark side of the industry, many still come to Hollywood chasing their dream. Thinking of this, it is somehow similar to the fashion industry. Even artists hardly success, thousands put their effort in and try their best nevertheless. As how a movie is made, some processes are necessary for it to be done. However, extremes meet, too much accessories do not always lead to a better solution in clothing. As the character says in the movie, she hate when people put things on ice cream because they only ruin the flavor. Taking this concept back to design, i want to make a clean simple dress with a cape that look like melting ice cream, representing the wonder and disillusion of a dream.
