Hello, my name is Casey.I am currently a senior student majoring in Fashion Design at Tainan University of Technology. Over the past four years, I have immersed myself in the world of garment construction and creative design, developing a strong foundation in tailoring, industrial pattern making, and material exploration. My academic journey has allowed me to experiment with diverse fabrics, from the organic texture of linen to the luxurious feel of wool and alpaca, always striving to balance aesthetic appeal with structural integrity. My design philosophy is deeply rooted in the concept of "Ruin and Rebirth," a theme I explored extensively in my project, "RE: GENESIS GARMENTS." I am particularly drawn to deconstructed elements and "broken" design styles, often blending these with Y2K influences or "Cyber-sport" aesthetics. I believe that fashion is a powerful medium for storytelling, and I enjoy using AI tools to generate mood boards and brand CIS reports to better visualize these complex narratives. Beyond the studio, I have gained valuable insights into the fashion market by managing resell ventures on platforms like Shopee and Carousell. This experience taught me how to evaluate brand value—from Levi’s to Zara—and developed my skills in digital marketing and product photography. Furthermore, serving as a school club president has honed my leadership and communication abilities, enabling me to collaborate effectively within creative teams. As I prepare to graduate, I am eager to bring my technical skills and unique design perspective to a professional environment where I can contribute to innovative fashion solutions and continue to grow as a designer.

Form and Meaning: The deep-sea anglerfish has evolved unique lure organs in extremely high-pressure, dark environments. This symbolizes the twisted yet fascinating evolutionary mechanisms that humans (or other organisms) must exhibit to survive in the devastating post-apocalyptic ruins. Its rough, leathery appearance echoes the acceptance of imperfection and the passage of time in "Wabi-Sabi"—the cracks and deep colors of the leather are the marks of time's erosion. Craftsmanship Interpretation: Through the shaping of hard leather, mimicking the skeletal structure and sharp teeth of fish, the originally soft material is transformed into aggressive armor. The original rough edges and texture of the leather are retained at the dorsal fin and tail, giving the work an experimental quality of "reconstructed life," as if this creature is a fictional species re-stitched and reborn from fragments of leather.
