Delight technical college

My name is Eunice Wanjiku Kamau, and I was born on January 17, 2003, in Nairobi, Kenya. I am the second of three children, raised by a strong and devoted single mother after the passing of my father. His absence left a lasting mark on our lives, but it also drew our small family even closer together. Growing up in Nairobi, I attended public school, where I began to discover my strengths and develop a deep appreciation for learning. Life was never simple—our days were a mix of struggle and strength, sorrow and survival. But my mother’s tireless efforts and the bond I share with my siblings gave me the courage to keep going. Secondary school was a turning point in more ways than one. During that time, I became gravely ill—so sick that I nearly lost my life. It was a terrifying and painful experience, one that tested every part of me: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yet, in that darkness, I found something unexpected—an unshakable will to live and a new clarity about what truly matters. It was also during that difficult season that I fell in love with fashion. While recovering, I began to express myself through colors, fabrics, and design. Fashion became more than just clothing—it became a form of healing, identity, and silent strength. Styling outfits, sketching ideas, and watching fashion shows gave me joy when my body was weak and my spirit needed light. Now, as I study fashion more seriously, I’m driven not just by creativity, but by purpose. I want to empower other young people who may be struggling—to show them that even when life feels impossible, you can still rise. You can still dream. You can still do it. Recovering from illness changed how I see the world. I don’t take my health or my opportunities for granted anymore. Every step I take forward is a reminder of what I’ve overcome. My journey is still unfolding—one page, one outfit, and one dream at a time. And through fashion, I hope to not only tell my story, but to help others find the courage to write theirs too.

Design Description – Structured Leather Jacket with Double High Shoulders, High Chinese Collar, and Side Cargo Pockets This sharply tailored leather jacket combines architectural precision with utilitarian flair. Made from premium structured leather, it features double high shoulders, layered and internally supported to create a bold, elevated shoulder line that frames the upper body with power and presence. A high Chinese collar rises cleanly around the neck, measuring approximately 4–5 cm, adding refinement and a strong vertical line. The body is fitted from bust to hips, sculpted to follow the contours of the torso and finishing just at the hip line for a cropped, structured silhouette. Enhancing both function and form, the jacket incorporates two slightly side-positioned cargo pockets, designed for visual accessibility while maintaining the jacket’s streamlined profile. These pockets are subtly angled and placed just around the side seam line—providing dimension and practical use without interrupting the clean lines of the front body. Flaps and soft pleating or gusset construction allow for added volume and texture while staying true to the tailored aesthetic. --- Key Design Features Material: Structured medium-weight leather (genuine ) with a smooth or lightly textured finish Silhouette: Fitted through the torso, ending cleanly at the hip line Shoulders: Double high shoulders with sculptural lift and internal reinforcement Collar: High Chinese collar, 4–5 cm tall, clean stand, minimal seam detailing Closure: Hidden or visible center front zipper or snap placket Pockets: Two side cargo pockets with flaps, subtly angled and positioned just around the side seam Designed for both visual accessibility and minimal front-body interference Length: Hip-length cut for a structured, compact silhouette Lining: Smooth stretch satin or breathable woven lining for comfort and ease of movement Design Description – Leather Skirt with Fringed Peplum and Braided Cord Detail (Hip-Level Peplum) This fashion-forward skirt is crafted from structured yet supple leather and designed to balance a tailored silhouette with dramatic, textural detailing. The skirt fits closely through the waist and hips, with a high-rise waistband that accentuates the natural waistline. The standout feature is a fringed leather peplum that begins at the hip level, sitting cleanly below the fitted upper body of the skirt. This peplum comprises long, raw- or laser-cut leather strips that fall freely, creating movement and a deconstructed edge. A braided leather cord runs along the top edge of the peplum, adding handcrafted detail and subtly defining the start of the fringe layer. A front-center opening, measuring approximately 4–5 inches wide, adds space and edge to the structured base. The opening begins beneath the peplum, creating a layered reveal as the fringe sways above it. The skirt is anchored by a fully interfaced waistband for stability and definition, and finished with a concealed back zipper. --- Key Design Elements Material: Medium-weight leather (genuine or vegan); matte or light sheen Silhouette: High-waisted, slim-fit through waist and hips, slight taper Waistband: 3–4 cm wide; interfaced for shape retention Peplum Placement: Starts at hip line (approx. 8–10 cm below waist), wraps around body Peplum Construction: Long, shredded leather fringe strips; raw-edge or laser-cut Trim Detail: Braided leather cord sewn along the top of the peplum for texture and finish Front Slit: Gap at center front (beneath peplum), approx. 4–5 inches wide (10–12.5 cm), adds movement and edge Closure: Hidden back zipper for clean finish Lining (optional): Stretch satin for comfort and structure Colorway Description – All-Black Jacket and Skirt Set with Red Sleeves This two-piece leather ensemble is built around a powerful all-black base, unified across both the jacket and skirt, with a dramatic injection of color introduced at the sleeves for visual tension and impact.
