Fashion Design BFA

Bags, Apparel, Sculpture

I'm Maya, a 25-year-old fashion designer from Tel Aviv. In my home I was surrounded with art and design from a young age. In my design, I aim to take inspiration from art and artists. I'm fascinated by well-structured and tailored clothing that change the body's shape and add to it an adgey twist. My main design interest is gender-neutral clothing. I seek to combine in my work technology and different craft works together. The starting point of my final project comes from the thought of my future in the profession that I have acquired in the last four years. along with the ever-developing artificial intelligence software. This software enables the creation of countless garment variations at the touch of a button, prompting my exploration of the interplay between humans and machines, and the fusion of technology with manually crafted clothing. My RTW collection for men and women explores the relationship between the designer and artificial intelligence. The process I employed involved utilizing AI software, inputting texts and various definitions to generate images. Additionally, my work sought to explore the connection between human-made and machine-made materials, incorporating leather, handcrafted metal knitting, foils, and 3D printing. The combination between the stiffness of the machine and the impermanence of the human hand.
