Kaique de Jesus Almeida

UNIFACS Universidade de Salvador

My name is Kaique de Jesus Almeida, I am a fashion design student in my final semester at Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS), Feira de Santana campus, Bahia, Brazil. Fashion is part of how I observe and interpret the world. I use sketching as my main form of expression, where I develop ideas, build concepts, and create pieces that result in sensations and meaning. My interest lies in the diversity of constructions, exploring different ways of representing feelings, behaviors, and how individuals position themselves in society. As an emerging designer, I seek to create pieces that carry identity, purpose, and expression, valuing the experience they communicate.

Color Displacement (“Defeito de cor”)

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Brazil

Color Displacement (“Defeito de cor”) explores emotional states that do not find a clear form of expression. The project is based on the idea of displacement between what is felt and what is expressed, understanding this shift not as an error, but as a sensitive condition. Using blue, traditionally associated with calmness, the proposal builds a narrative where different sensations coexist, revealing layers of perception. The piece develops through the relationship between fluidity and structure, creating a balance between lightness and permanence.
