Hi, I am Olivia. I just graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University this year with a degree in Fashion and Textile, where I focused on knitwear technology. My academic journey has been incredibly enriching, allowing me to explore various aspects of textile design and production. During my studies, I delved deep into the intricacies of knit fabric production, learning about different knitting techniques and how they impact the final product. I also had the opportunity to study advanced textile innovation, which opened my eyes to the latest trends and technologies shaping the industry today. Working on hands-on projects allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing my skills in design and production processes. I collaborated with peers on creating sustainable knitwear collections, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly materials and practices in modern fashion. My passion for knitwear stems from its versatility and potential for creativity, and I am excited to contribute to this dynamic field. As I embark on my professional journey, I look forward to leveraging my education to innovate and make a positive impact in the fashion industry.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION

"Oραση" means "vision" in Greek, derived from the verb "vlepo" meaning "to see". The inspiration for the collection comes from the application of optical illusions in psychology, art, and fashion design, using the unique colors, shapes, and textures of insects as a starting point. It aims to integrate phenomena of nature into innovative lether and knitting structures, also combining laser-cut. The entire collection seeks to blur the line between reality and illusion through special knitting methods, color usage, and structural experiments.
