This project, entitled "Poodle Essence" (Poodle Collection), is a sustainable fashion design and textile innovation initiative presented by Yuta Raviel. The central concept is based on the Poodle Project, research developed by textile engineer Renato Lobo with the support of SENAI and USP. Here are the main points that define the project: • Textile Innovation: The project demonstrates the feasibility of transforming the fur of Poodle dogs (which would normally be discarded after shearing) into a high-quality textile yarn. The ideal mixture identified was 50% poodle fur and 50% acrylic, resulting in a material with thermal properties and softness very similar to sheep's wool. • Sustainability: The main objective is to reuse pet waste to create an ecological alternative to conventional wool, promoting the concept of "experimental design" and the conscious use of waste in the textile industry. Final Product (The Bag): The project culminates in the design of a sophisticated handbag. The aesthetic combines the voluminous and soft texture of "poodle fabric" in shades of white/cream with a brown leather frame and silver hardware. • Creative Process: The images detail everything from the inspirational moodboard and color palette to the hand-drawn sketches, AI-generated illustrations for concept visualization, and the final technical drawing, which specifies the dimensions (28cm x 21cm) and materials (genuine leather, poodle wool, and cotton canvas lining). In short, the Poodle Essence unites the luxury of leather goods with textile science to create a functional, aesthetically unique, and environmentally responsible fashion accessory.
