Bags, Design, Sustainable Design

World inspired, Ethiopian made, Italian design! AURADORO CROSS-CULTURAL FASHION is a growing textile handicraft company based in Addis Ababa since 2018; it is animated by strong values of collaboration and creation of a strong community. Economical, environmental, and human sustainability are our keywords. How? We create girls' and women clothes and accessories sewing local materials as the cotton growing in southern Ethiopia, which is handwoven in a traditional way by skilled local artisans called shemmane We create unique bags and accessories merging first quality Ethiopian leather with handwoven cotton fabrics. We love to mix our traditional fabrics with jute, jeans, or velvet to mix designs and styles and to create something really unique. The thing that makes us special is that  we collaborate closely with local artisans, creating products together, but first of all, sharing our experiences and knowledge. OUR MISSION? encourage and promote cultural exchanges at every level ! Especially nowadays I recognise the importance of sharing values such as unity, community, positivity, the importance of learning from other culture,  because we are just one , one people leaving  on this planet and only if we learn from others, learning about each other , accepting the differences,  we can get to better know ourselves and learn to leave in love and armony with everyone and with our environment. I try to share this message as much as possibile , and my life is built on this concept: I live in Ethiopia because of my husband , met in an university of architecture in Rome, 12 years ago: now together we have two gorgeous daughters. So I am directly working to create an authentic cultural bridge between me, Italian, and the country I have chosen as home, Ethiopia, working and collaborating closer to real local artisans,  promoting a real cultural crossover,  and also to preserve the cultural heritage, for reaching the goal of a concrete sustainable development. I believe in the slow fashion, so good for the producers but also for the customers, whom shop local so they are able to support local artisans and workers and learn something about that culture, at the same time. My dream is to grow together with all the people working with us, being able to export our products one day, and why not?! open a shop...but not a common one, I would like to manage a space in where different people can meet,  learning better about the rich Ethiopian culture,  and listen about stories from real people ..and of course bring home an unique piece created by AURADORO CROSS-CULTURAL FASHION.
