Thiết kế mà tôi mang đến cuộc thi Real Leather. Stay Different 2026 được lấy cảm hứng từ nghệ thuật gốm Bàu Trúc kết hợp cùng những họa tiết điêu khắc tinh xảo trên đền tháp của văn hoá Champa. Gốm chăm Bàu Trúc, trong cảm nhận của tôi, không chỉ là đất nung mà còn là hình ảnh ẩn dụ cho người phụ nữ: mềm mại nhưng bền bỉ, được nhào nặn qua thời gian, và toả sáng sau ngọn lửa thử thách. Bộ trang phục dạ hội được xây dựng với phom dáng tôn vinh đường cong cơ thể, kết hợp các chi tiết xử lý bề mặt gợi nhắc đến vết nứt, sự thô mộc đặc trưng và sắc độ đặc trưng của gốm. Các hoạ tiết được chắt lọc từ điêu khắc Champa, tái hiện lại bằng kỹ thuật thủ công trên chất liệu da, tạo nên sự giao thoa giữa truyền thống và hiện đại. Màu chủ đạo của trang phục là màu nâu đặc trưng, lấy ý tưởng từ sự chuyển biến màu sắc trong quá trình nung của Gốm chăm Bàu Trúc. Tôi nghĩ rằng “Chất liệu da trong thiết kế không chỉ đóng vai trò cấu trúc, mà còn trở thành ‘lớp da thứ hai’ – mang tính biểu đạt, thể hiện tinh thần ‘Stay Different’: khác biệt, táo bạo nhưng vẫn tôn trọng những giá trị nguyên bản, tính ứng dụng và tính thủ công truyền thống trong điêu khắc da. Và thông qua thiết kế này, tôi mong muốn kể một câu chuyện về bản sắc - nơi di sản văn hoá không đứng yên trong quá khứ, mà tiếp tục được tái sinh trong hơi thở của thời trang đương đại. Và đó là câu chuyện về di sản Champa - Champa: The Legacy. ------------------------------- The design I present at the Real Leather. Stay Different 2026 competition is inspired by the art of Bàu Trúc pottery combined with the intricate sculptural motifs found on the temple towers of Champa culture. In my perception, Bàu Trúc Cham pottery is not just fired clay, it is also a metaphor for the woman: soft yet resilient, shaped over time, and radiant after enduring the trial of fire. The evening gown is designed with a silhouette that celebrates the natural curves of the body, combined with surface treatments that evoke crackled textures, raw tactility, and the distinctive tones of fired clay. The motifs are distilled from Champa sculpture and reinterpreted through handcrafted techniques on leather, creating a dialogue between tradition and modernity. With brown as the dominant hue, the design also draws inspiration from the subtle color transformations that occur during the firing process of Bàu Trúc Cham pottery. I believe that leather in this design does more than provide structure—it becomes a ‘second skin,’ expressive in nature, embodying the spirit of ‘Stay Different’: bold and distinctive, yet grounded in authenticity, functionality, and the traditions of handcrafted leather artistry. Through this design, I aim to tell a story of identity—where cultural heritage does not remain frozen in the past, but is continuously reborn through the language of contemporary fashion. And that is the story of Champa heritage—Champa: The Legacy
