Train Diary Bag 0–1 I imagine life as a train that never turns back, only moves forward. Along this journey, we continuously experience, remember, and reshape how memory is understood. This led me to question: if experiences could be carried, what form would they take? Inspired by the connection between train cars, I designed a modular bag system that can extend over time. Each unit represents a fragment of memory that can be attached, removed, and rearranged. Leather is chosen as the main material to reflect a more essential idea of sustainability. Longevity does not only come from durability, but from the memory and meaning people build with an object. When damaged, it is repaired rather than replaced. Over time, leather records traces of use. Scratches and folds are not imperfections, but evidence of lived experience, making each piece personal and unique. The bag functions as a diary rather than a container—continuously rewriting the present through use. Named “0–1,” it represents the process from emptiness to accumulation. Like a train moving forward, memories are connected and extended over time, becoming part of who we are through use and repair.
