Yanqing Li
Winchester School of Art
Yanqing Li is a BA Fashion Design student at Winchester School of Art specialising in conceptual womenswear. Her design approach blends East–West references, non-traditional pattern cutting, and a focus on material tension—particularly the interaction between rigid structures and fluid silhouettes. She works across digital and physical processes (CLO3D, Adobe Suite, technical sampling). Her practice circles around ideas of control, dark minimalism, and the quiet power of asymmetry. Influenced by Yohji Yamamoto and Rick Owens, etc., she works with hard, structural materials against soft, fluid forms—seeking a balance between what the body hides and what it insists on showing.
