My name is Shira Baron, I'm a 26 year old fashion design student at Shenkar College in Israel. Before beginning my formal studies, I spent a transformative semester in Paris, immersing myself in French and art history. Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by art, photography, music, and cinema. Fashion has always been a passion, and over the years, I’ve discovered its profound ability to tell stories and weave together my favorite artistic worlds. In my design studies, I explored various materials like silk, leather, wool, denim and others, experimenting with different techniques to understand their unique behaviors. I also specialized in: tailoring, fashion and art history, designing with AI programs, stage costume design, activewear, and my favorite one- menswear. In my design I love to constantly push the boundaries of fabric manipulation, combining different techniques to create garments that engage and surprise. A significantly different part of my education was engaging in trend forecasting, where I created a magazine-style report predicting future design directions. This project combined analytical depth with creative expression, making it an incredibly fulfilling experience. My inspiration is deeply personal, rooted in emotions and memories, often drawing from my family history. I aim to create timeless pieces with a modern and personal style, using durable materials that tell a story. By merging classic and modern silhouettes, I aim to make pieces that reflect my journey and invite viewers to connect with these stories. My work blends tradition with contemporary innovation, celebrating the fusion of past and present.
