In the Real Leather Stay: Stay Different 2026 competition, I am presenting a handbag design inspired by Ben Thanh Market, a project I have been working on for a long time. THE REASON I CHOSE THIS CULTURAL SYMBOL OF HO CHI MINH CITY IS BECAUSE I WANT INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT VIETNAMESE TOURISM WHEN THEY SEE MY PRODUCT.

This handbag design is directly inspired by the clock tower of Ben Thanh Market. With a sturdy, box-like structure mimicking the facade of the South Gate, the bag uses leather and suede materials in earthy yellow and brick red colors. The highlight of the design lies in the meticulously crafted decorative details running along the body of the bag, creating a highly practical accessory for those who appreciate Vietnamese culture.
