I am a third-year university student majoring in Fashion Design. In high school, I participated in a garment production competition in the Home Economics category. That experience helped me develop practical skills in pattern making and sewing. I am passionate about creating clothing that combines beauty and functionality. I look forward to growing further in the fashion field.

HEAT•MELT

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Taiwan Region

This design, titled “HEAT•MELT,” explores the severe impact of global warming on natural environments. The silhouette features exaggerated curves and layered forms, symbolizing the breaking and melting of glaciers under extreme climates. The color palette—red, orange, and blue—represents the core concept: red for intense heat, orange for the scorching sun eroding the Earth, and blue for melting glaciers. The face mask and overlapping structures highlight the disintegration of glaciers during climate change. The box pleats and topstitching at the hem mimic the layers and cracks formed by collapsing ice. Piping and strong stitching lines represent post-melt glacier fractures. This piece aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and deliver a strong visual message about the lasting effects of global warming.
