My name is Mercy Robert a second year student from Egerton University Main Campus Njoro, pursuing a degree in Bachelor of science in Clothing, Textiles and Interior Design. My design is my own creation, it's a lady's shawl which is made of 50% leather and the rest of the garment is made up of yarns which is a natural material. The pattern of making the shawl, is cutting the leather into small square boxes which will be joined together using yarns to make up a shawl. The design is entirely my creativity.

My project is a design of a shawl, the shawl is made up of small square patches of leather, their measurements is 4 by 4 inches, I’m going to use a total of forty four patches of leather each measuring 4 by 4 inches, then I’ll join them together using yarns which is a natural material. By joining this piece together is going to make up the entire shawl, design of the front and back part is similar to the front piece I’m going to use twenty two patches same as the back. I’m going to braid the shawl at low ends using yarns to make it more appealing and comfortable.
