Stephen Kanyanta: Master of Leather Craftsmanship Born on January 1, 1952, Stephen Kanyanta is a distinguished designer specializing in leather craftsmanship. His formal education began at PISIE College in Jesi, Italy, in 1990, where he studied design and pattern-making techniques. He further honed his expertise at Lords University in Grahamstown, South Africa, between 1994 and 1996, training under the Leather Industries Research Institute (LIRI). Committed to advancing his knowledge, he pursued lean manufacturing and product development at Copperbelt University from 2000 to 2002. His practical experience was enriched through extensive training under BATA Shoes Organisation, where he gained hands-on expertise in footwear production and management. Mr. Kanyanta’s career has been defined by a dedication to quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. With a deep understanding of traditional and modern leather manufacturing techniques, he has made significant contributions to the industry, establishing himself as a respected figure in leather design and production
