Eclosion

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Taiwan Region

This design centers on the theme of "Eclosion," employing futuristic metallic iridescent leather to construct a biological, carapace-like shell that mimics the tension and struggle of life at the critical threshold of metamorphosis. By utilizing the central zipper as a spinal extension and incorporating the violently expanding sculptural spiral layers at the waist, it meticulously portrays the moment of the shell’s fracture and the awakening of the inner self, transforming restrictive confinement into defensive wings possessed of explosive beauty. It illustrates an individual tearing through the past amidst the labor pains of growth, achieving a spiritual emergence through the collision of cold metal and fluid structure, and ultimately fulfilling a powerful and magnificent aesthetic rebirth that marks the evolution from self-protection to the liberation of flight.
