Ana Caroline - Designer and Artisan: Bridging Heritage and Sustainable Innovation. I am a designer and artisan whose life has been intertwined with the craft of leather since my birth in 1992. Growing up, I witnessed my parents build and sustain our family through the art of handmade goods, an enduring legacy that continues to this day. This deep-rooted connection was solidified by a pivotal memory: seeing the gratitude of an elderly woman for whom my father had crafted bespoke shoes, restoring her ability to walk with dignity after years of pain. Since 2013, I have sought to honor this heritage by merging ancestral techniques with academic excellence. My technical foundation was established at SENAI (Leather and Jewelry), where I mastered everything from traditional hand-cutting to complex construction. I am currently furthering my expertise through Product Design studies at FATEC Victor Civita, while continuing to learn daily from the master artisans in our family workshop. For me, craftsmanship and sustainability are inseparable; both require time, dedication, and a visionary perspective to create pieces that last a lifetime. I view leather as a noble byproduct of the food industry that honors life through durability. My goal is to create designs that inspire people to live fully, proving that traditional techniques and responsible materials are more than just products—they are living history and heritage.
