Addressing the global fashion crisis—60% of clothes are oil-based synthetics, worn only five times on average, with textile waste visible from space—this design targets urban commuters who also do daily outdoor sports. Current wardrobes suffer from redundancy, low cost-performance, and aesthetic limits when switching between scenarios. The solution is a “one garment, multiple looks” system using natural, durable materials (e.g., leather – a byproduct of meat/dairy, replacing petrochemical derivatives). Structured, detachable modular logic allows flexible transformation between forms and functions, bridging the gap between utility and style. The core value lies in “programmable” physical expression of fashion: a single piece adapts to dual contexts. It replaces fast fashion’s five‑wear disposable cycle, enhances long‑term value through functionality and emotional interaction, and reduces landfill waste. This promotes a circular, low‑carbon, and diversified path for the fashion industry.

This work takes "the symbiosis of retro and modern" as the design concept, integrating the mysterious retro charm of the Sanxingdui Ancient Shu civilization into the modern sustainable design of leather fabrics. The mottled texture of bronze and the remaining gold foil elements are extracted from the bronze masks, which are combined with loose silhouettes, lace pleats and other retro elements. Through abstract extraction and recombination, it is presented on clothing that adopts sustainable cowhide fabrics and modern elegant styles. While meeting the pursuit of contemporary consumers for retro and elegant styles, it demonstrates the innovative potential of leather products in the fashion field, making this work not only carry a profound retro cultural heritage, but also become a modern fashion item with both market value and artistic charm.
