ENTI CHAO

Asia University

Hello, I’m Charlotte(Chao, En-Ti), a senior majoring in Fashion Design at Asia University. With a solid foundation in garment techniques from high school, I have expanded my expertise into specialized fields including bags, footwear, millinery, metalwork, and performing arts costume design. I define myself as an optimistic, proactive, and free-spirited individual. This "unconstrained" personality allows my creative ideas to flow endlessly, enabling me to approach design from diverse and unconventional perspectives. My global mindset is shaped by my diverse interests—spanning international music and cinema—and enriched by international experiences, such as the 2024 Summer Fashion Design Camp at Hongik University in Korea and a professional social service project in Fukuoka, Japan, in 2025. Beyond my creative work, I possess strong leadership and project management skills. Having served as a class representative and teaching assistant for several years, I was recommended by my professors to serve as the General Coordinator of the Graduation Exhibition Committee. In this role, I managed cross-departmental coordination and event execution, honing my ability to turn complex visions into reality. Driven by a passion for "Slow Fashion" and social impact, I also founded my independent handmade brand, "Nunui." Through Nunui, I personally handle everything from conceptualization to production, striving to bridge the gap between abstract design philosophy and tangible craftsmanship.

Molten Wild Bloom

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Taiwan Region

To be honest, the whole idea for "Molten Wild Bloom" started with a simple obsession: I wanted to see if leather could actually look like it was alive and moving. Usually, we think of leather as something tough and structured, but I wanted to break that mold for this year’s competition. I started imagining a plant caught in a volcanic eruption—something that is melting away, yet trying to bloom again at the same time. The "Molten" part is all about that liquid, dripping effect you see on the bottom of the frames. It represents the chaos of our fast-paced world, where everything feels like it's dissolving. But then, I added these layered, hand-shaped leather petals—the "Wild Bloom"—to show resilience. It’s like nature saying, "I’m still here, and I'm stronger than before". In terms of Slow Fashion, I really leaned into the process. Instead of mass-producing something, I focused on the "touch". Each piece of deep burgundy leather was treated and molded to feel organic. I also mixed in some burnished gold rivets because I love that contrast between raw nature and a bit of a rebellious, industrial edge. The "Rebirth" is the most important part. It’s about taking a traditional material like natural leather and giving it a second life through 3D structures and modern design. This piece isn’t just an accessory; it’s a statement that even in a world that feels like it’s melting, there is still room for something beautiful to grow.
