Self-employed

I work from home

I started working as a fine artist for a company that dealt with curios in 1996 and I majored in doing paintings which is where my passion for designing started to grow. I then learnt how to work on leather manufacturing leather goods and shoes which further pushed me to affiliate at the Leather Institute of Zimbabwe where I learnt designing shoes and leather goods. Currently I am still self employed and do a lot of designs for companies and individuals. I believe I am still growing in the knowledge of designing leather goods and shoes and will one day design world recognized brands.

Tortoise

Category: Footwear

Competitions: Africa

As I wandered through the scorching savannah land, I stumbled upon a tortoise making its way slowly across the dry rocky ground. Its shell, adorned with intricate patterns, glistened in the sunlight. I watched, mesmerized, as it navigated the harsh terrain with ease. Suddenly, a gust of wind swept across the dunes, and the tortoise withdrew into its shell. I waited, fascinated, as it emerged again, undeterred. In that moment, I felt a spark of inspiration. The tortoise's resilience in the face of adversity struck a chord within me. Its shell, a masterpiece of nature, protected it from the elements. I envisioned leather patches, embossed with the tortoise's majestic print, adorning a boot, wallet, bag, and belt. As I worked on my creations, I infused them with the tortoise's essence: strength, longevity, and adaptability. Each stitch, each cut, was a testament to the tortoise's enduring spirit. When I finished, I held in my hands a collection of pieces that told a story of their own. The tortoise print leather seemed to whisper secrets of the savannah: perseverance, wisdom, and beauty born from harsh conditions. I knew then that my creations would carry the tortoise's legacy forward, inspiring others to embrace resilience and appreciate the beauty in unexpected places.
