LISAA MODE PARIS

Fashion Design MFA

Apparel, Haute Couture, Accessories

I'm Laurine Achoui a student in a master's program in fashion design in Paris. I also work as a developer in luxury ready-to-wear at Kenzo. I started my journey by winning the ELLE competition, presided over by Simon Porte Jacquemus, in 2018. After that victory, I continued my studies at Studio Bercot and then at Lisaa Mode. In 2023, I founded my own brand, MAISON Aloise, which celebrates the fusion of Italian culture (my mother's origin) and native North African culture (my father's origin). I create clothes using fabrics from deadstocks of luxury houses, as well as silver jewelry made in a traditional Kabyle workshop in Algeria. My creations are inspired by the Mediterranean culture and haute couture. I won the Mare di Moda competition at Cannes in the beachwear category in November 2023. My goal is to design unique and sustainable clothing that showcases the Italo-Berber cultures and French craftsmanship. I have a particular interest in leatherwork and have built up a stock of leather from deadstock to create a unique collection and accessories that will be launching soon.

My goal is to design unique and sustainable clothing that showcases the Italo-Berber cultures and French craftsmanship. I have a particular interest in leatherwork and have built up a stock of leather from deadstock to create a unique collection and accessories that will be launching soon. I'm glad to present to you the first outfit of the collection : "Dolce Stripes" Inspired by the stripes of traditional Berber clothing and Italian tailors, I have created a working girl silhouette consisting of a leather jacket and a pencil skirt. For this look, I used pink leather and created stripes by laser-cutting strips that I apply with a topstitch. The stripes intentionally differ on the front and back of the outfit. For the sides, I created another fabric with small laser-cut slits and inserted thin strips into the slits to create the illusion of weaving. For trims, zip and belt, I design unique details inspired by traditional native north african culture in a workshop in Algeria. It is a modern outfit that draws inspiration from the traditional North African codes and the tailored garments of Italian fashion. You'll find attached my design portfolio for this look and one short video. Many thanks, Laurine
