Grandma’s shopping bag

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Taiwan Region

I remember my grandma used to go to the market early in the morning to buy food for the whole family. That was our source of energy for the day. She often carried big and small plastic bags, and one of the essential ones was her woven bag, known as the "茄芷袋(grandma bag". It was her treasure, a bag that had witnessed the passage of time. Even if it got damaged, my grandma would repair it and use it again the next day at the market. It symbolized the value my grandma saw in things she owned. So, I took inspiration from the "茄芷袋(grandma bag)" for color ideas, and the cabbage we often eat for its shape. I used softer materials in the middle layer for better storage, ensuring it retains its shape and is easy to carry around in daily life. This design gives wearers the confidence of elders. Wearing their favorite colors and styles of clothing or accessories opens the door to a day filled with confidence and radiance.
