"As a Fashion and Apparel Design student at Quanzhou Normal University, I leverage the profound industrial heritage of China’s ‘Shoe Capital’. Beyond solid styling skills, I possess a forward-looking commercial acumen that spans the entire design process—from concept development to pattern making and production. Recognizing that design is inseparable from materiality, I have delved deeply into the physical properties of genuine leather, mastering its stretchability and textures across various tanning processes. I excel at breaking conventions, ingeniously reconstructing traditional artisanal techniques—such as hand leather carving and precision stitching—with contemporary trends like minimalism and avant-garde deconstruction. Benefiting from the tightly integrated practice platforms between my university and local industries, my designs consistently balance aesthetic appeal with manufacturing costs. In participating in the 2026 ‘Real Leather Mark Cup’, I aim to minimize material waste through pattern optimization, exploring the harmonious symbiosis of sustainability and fashion. I seek to reject the coldness of fast fashion, utilizing ‘human-centric’ emotional design to allow genuine leather to develop a rich patina over time, revealing an enduring, timeless vitality."
