This project is inspired by the growth, spreading, and mutation of bacteria, translating their continuous division and extension in the microscopic world into a bag design language. The design adopts a modular and detachable structure, allowing the bag to be freely reconfigured and expanded according to different usage needs, presenting an evolving organic form. The concept focuses on “spreading and mutation,” using asymmetrical and scattered compositions to break the stability of traditional bag structures and establish a fluid design system. It also explores the interaction between the object and the user, turning the design into a participatory and generative process rather than a fixed product. In terms of materials, matte leather combined with fine textures is used to evoke the subtle and layered quality of microscopic bacterial surfaces. The color scheme of blue and yellow creates a strong contrast, emphasizing vitality and instability within microbial life. Rivet details are incorporated to symbolize the defensive and potentially hazardous nature of bacteria, introducing a rigid element within a soft structure. Overall, the design balances softness and tension, expressing a scalable and symbolic bag system that continuously evolves.
