Nhất Nguyễn Minh

Đại học Công nghệ Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh

I am a third-year Fashion Design student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, with a strong interest in exploring the relationship between material, culture, and emotion. My work is driven by symbolic concepts inspired by nature, religion, and environmental transformation. Throughout my studies, I have developed a personal design approach that combines craftsmanship with contemporary practices, aiming to create aesthetically refined pieces that also communicate sustainable values.

Exploring nature transformed under the impact of climate change, particularly the increasing intensity of extreme heat, which causes vegetation to gradually deteriorate through stages of scorching, drying, and wilting. Speckled leaves, decayed flowers, and drooping branches serve as warning signs of an environmental crisis, where ecological balance is increasingly disrupted. The garment silhouettes are developed from the structure of flowers that are withering under heat, capturing the transitional moment between life and decay. Through leather as a material and laser-cut techniques, natural elements are reconstructed, deeply reflecting the impact of global climate change on the natural environment.
